What is a Master Route?

The Master Route is a lookup table in the master AMBR - it is how the internet works and how you get from one server in the cloud to another.

What does building it do?

Building master routes builds the ipv6 routing table in the master AMBR so that when the cloud tries to talk to a device, the master routes requests the correct AMBR.

How do I know that Master Routes is the root of an issue?

If your devices are green (talking in the app), but you cannot communicate with them, and you have a multi-AMBR site, reference this troubleshooting workflow to ensure that your device is talking to the correct AMBR.
