What is Demand Response?
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission defines demand response as "changes in electrical usage by end-user customers from their normal consumption patterns in response to changes in the price of electricity over time, or to incentive payments designed to induce lower electricity use at times of high wholesale market prices or when system reliability is jeopardized."
In the Amatis app:
Applying the 'Demand Response' template to a location will create two scenes that are used for Automated Demand Response (ADR) support.
Clicking on these scenes allows the ADR test to be run and demonstrated for Code Compliance Inspections.
The Amatis Border Router will automatically communicate with the local utility, via openADR API.
