Everything needed to wire your Advanced Load Controller to your circuit and light fixture comes with the device. Here are the steps to properly wire an ALC:
Open the Advanced Load Controller box. The box should contain:
- the ALC
- five wire nuts
- an identification sticker
Remove the lead covers off all of the ALC wires. Ensure that each exposed lead looks like the image above.
Prior to wiring the ALC to the electrical line, remove all power to the electrical line.
Once power has been removed from the electrical line drop, follow the wiring diagram above and connect each wire from the ALC, light fixture, and electrical line accordingly.
Please inspect wiring and connections from Step 3 and ensure that all connections match the wiring diagram. Turn on power to the electrical line. Once power is returned to the line, the light fixture connected to the ALC should turn on and the square on the ALC should start flashing blue after 30 seconds.
